A girl slept in her bed. The partial sunrise from outside shone
in her bedroom, hitting directly on her face. She pulled the
covers over her head, in an attempt to get away from the
light. Please just five more minutes, she thought to herself.
Just as she was beginning to doze off again, a person entered
the room, "Livi, it's time to get up!"
The girl grumbled under her breath, in hopes that her mother
would not hear, and put her head underneath the pillow. Her
mother grew impatient and then left the room. I better get up,
I don't want to make her angry... Livi rose into a sitting
position and slid to the ground; her body was not fully awake
yet, so some of her limbs were still stiff. Even through the
stiffness of her limbs, she walked to the window, and opened
it. The sunlight brought in a natural glow to her whole room.
Once Livi saw how pretty the day was going to be, her spirit
enlightened.
"Time to get ready for my routine!" She went to her nightstand and picked up a sheet of
paper. She looked at the top of the sheet. It read:
Sundays: Once ready for the day, go on an adventure.
"This is perfect!" she said enthusiastically, "It's a wonderful day to go on an
adventure!" Getting dressed, Livi picked up her backpack. Once she was finished getting
dressed, she went to the kitchen. In the fridge, she picked out three bottled waters, and some
vegetables. In the fruit bowl, she got some apples, bananas, and oranges.
"Something was missing from all of this...", she thought, "wait, I know, I should invite a
friend to go with me,"
Livi got out her cell phone, and texted the only friend she could trust, that could put up with her all
day long.
Want to come on an adventure with me?
While waiting for her friend to text her back, she told her mom that she would be out all day, and got
some cereal for breakfast. Adding an apple, for extra filling her stomach, her phone
vibrated against the table.
Sure, where are we going? What do I need to bring?
Livi concluded their conversation,
Make sure to bring lots of water and food. And, I can't tell you where we are going, its a
surprise... :)

"Oh no, I forgot to tell her when I'm coming to see her!"
Sending a following text that read,
I'll be there in 20 minutes.
"Bye, Mom," Livi called as she left. Walking down the
driveway, she turned left, to head down the street to Jess's
house. Her house was only a couple of blocks down the road,
so she could see it in the distance. The bricks were a dark
burgundy tone, with a chocolate colored door. In the front,
there were only two rectangular windows, each siding the front
door.
As Livi approached the second stop sign, she could see the
door opening to her friend's house, revealing a blonde girl
walking down the steps. She looked both ways, seeing no cars coming in front of her, and
started to run the rest of the way. "Hey, Jess!" Livi called to her friend, as she made her final steps
toward the house, "You ready to go?"
"Yeah. Can you tell me now where we are going?"
"Nope, but before we go, we should stretch. It's going to be a long trip and it would be good for our
muscles."
Jess grumbled in frustration, and bent down beside her friend, touching her toes, with her
hands. Livi was doing some lunges, preparing her legs for the trip, "You know, we can stay
healthy by doing usual yoga stretches like this. It keeps us flexible."
"I know, and the apples we brought will be good for us,
providing energy for our bodies to keep our usual pace."
After a couple of more stretches, Livi and Jess started to head
from Jess's house to their unknown destination.
The two girls walked by the last house of their neighborhood,
and began to approach a bridge. "So, do you want me to let
you cross the bridge, or can we have fun, and I'll push you
in?" Jess asked.
"I think I'll take the first option, thank you."
"Second option it is--"
"Ahhhhh!" Livi screamed as she fell into the ice cold water.
Jess laughed her head off, until she was pulled in herself.
"Now that was funny. Race ya!" Livi swam halfway across the river already.
Speeding up her swimming pace, Jess called out, mixed with struggling breaths, "Hey,
that's not fair!" It was too late, though, Livi was already on shore. "Cheater!" Jess
yelled, while Livi giggled. Approaching the shore, Jess let out a hand for her friend to grab it. Livi
took her hand and pulled her out of the roaring water, "Thank you."
Livi nodded and motioned for Jess to start following her. "Please tell me where we are
heading."
"I can't. Like I have said many times before, it's a surprise,"
Livi replied to her friend. She loved to torture her friend, but it
wasn't to actually mess with her this time, it was for an
important reason.
"Let's have a snack before we get going," Jess suggested.
"Okay, lets have some of the apples I brought," Livi said, while
pulling out some Granny Smith, Red Delicious, and some Fuji
Apples, "Pick any of them. I'm not that picky."
Jess sought out a Granny Smith Apple and bit into that one.
She smiled as she pulled the apple from her mouth, "This is
good, both taste wise and health wise."
"I made sure to pack healthy food, so we would not tire out
during our trip."
