Hi there!

My name is Monty.

I am a 7 year old Labrador 

Retriever mix that lives in Florida 

with my mom and dad, Patti and 

Jeremy.

I kind of run the show around my 

house. This is my favorite spot to 

relax.

My life hasn't always been as good 

as it is now. You see, I was left at 

an animal shelter. When they ran 

out of room I was transferred to 

another shelter. I was there 

waiting for someone to adopt me 

and give me my forever home.

I was afraid I would never find 

my safe place. When I saw my 

dad I knew right away that he 

was the person I wanted to take 

me home!

My new family gave me toys, a 

new bed and lots of love. But, I 

was still afraid of a few things. I 

was afraid to trust again. My new 

family was patient with me and I 

slowly learned that this really is 

my forever home.

I was also 

afraid of 

thunder. At 

first I would 

hide under 

the chair.

My mom and dad tried lots of 

ways to make me overcome my 

fear. They wanted me to feel 

safe in my new home.
