Running a bake shop is lots of fun!

6:00 Grab the key and hang the sign.

Better get baking! We open at nine!

6:15 We'll need a bowl, the mixer, and pans.

Grab the soap and wash your hands.

6:30 We need flour and sugar, milk and eggs.

Icing and cherries. Walnuts and figs.

6:45 A pinch of this, a dash of that.

Then wisk it up good, so it doesn't fall flat!

7:00  Set the timer and into the oven it goes.

Got some on our fingers. Some on our nose!

7:30 Use oven mitts. It's piping hot!

Wash up the dishes. Oops! Missed a spot.

8:00 Baking has cooled. Put it out on display.

Write down the prices the customers must pay.

8:30 It's almost time to open shop.

Wipe down the tables. Grab a pail and a mop.

9:00 Welcome to Gracie's. Come in and sit down.

There's coffee and tea. The best cake in town.

10:05 Mr. Humble wants a piece of pie.

A menu will help him choose which one to buy.

11:40  Answer the phone. It's Mrs. Lady.

She needs a cake for her birthday baby!

12:20  Take a break. It's super busy.

Grab a plate! Eat lunch before we get dizzy.
