We began our drive to the next place
for a different kind of fun. I had called out
to my aunties. ‘Look at the big boat. Isn’t it
beautiful?’ The next thing I remembered
was waking up to a tall metal creature. I
was surprised but I soon realized what it
was.

Wow! Isn’t this the neatest knight? I
went up to the knight and tapped on his suit
of armor to see if anyone was inside it. I
was excited to be scared a little bit if it
moved. Oh well my aunties took a picture. I
will put it up on my wall at home so I can
have a knight of my own to show my
friends.

‘Hello Mr. raccoon. Are you shy? I won’t
hurt you. We can be friends. Do you want
me to pat you?’ I asked the furry raccoon.
My aunties had made it loud and clear that
I was only to look at the animals and not
pat them. The animals were not real. They
were there for everyone to enjoy. I
enjoyed them very much.

Hello Mr. fox. Why are you smiling? Are
those your friends beside you? I have seen
a fox back at my motel. He was running into
a little hole in the hill’. I love talking to the
animals. I wonder if they can hear me talk
to them?’

‘Hello little bear. Auntie Sharon says
you are called a cub. Is that your mommy?
Don’t be scared because mommy’s protect
their babies all the time.

‘Oh help! Help! That bear looks really
scary. I know he cannot hurt me. I am just
acting. I think he is roaring out to let
people know they are to stay away from his
baby cub. I promise I will stay away from
your cub mommy bear’.

I think these are part of the cat family.
My cat Lex is smaller than these cats. I like
my cat. I do not think I would want a big
cat like them. I think that I am ready to
see some smaller animals that do not look
so scary to me.

These birds are called owls. They look
very wise. I wonder how Mr. owl keeps
those glasses on. I think the glasses make
him look really smart.

I know what these birds are. They are
sea gulls. When I go to the beach I toss
popcorn high into the air and they fly down
to eat every piece.
