Lellow, the Lion – The King of the Jungle.

Hopey, the hippopotamus – The king of the misty lake.

Princess Leah – Princess of Pet Palace.

Ellie, the Elephant – Queen of the Strand Desert.

Mo, – The mischievous monkey of Swishing forest.

Lellow the Lion goes shopping, but because Lellow is a Lion he has never been shopping before.

He went to the butcher’s counter, "Can I have some apples, please." He said to the butcher.

"We don't sell apples here," said the butcher.

He went to the baker's counter and asked for some Jelly beans.

"We don't sell jelly beans here," said the baker.

Next, he went to the greengrocer's counter and asked for some cupcakes.

"We don't sell cupcakes here." said the greengrocer.

On his way back home, he met his four friends: Mo the monkey, Hopey the hippopotamus, Ellie the elephant, and Princess Leah Grace.

Lellow explained to his friends that he was shopping, but when his friends saw him with an empty shopping basket they were confused.

Lellow continued to tell his friends what had happened.

“The butcher had no apples; the baker had no jellybeans, and the greengrocers had no cupcakes.” He explained.

Lellow's friends realised what had happened and said: "We will come shopping with you." They all looked at each other and started to laugh.

Sometime later, Lellow and friends returned with the shopping.
