     Fun at The Dollars Store

     Kathy, Billy and Susie had a special babysitter. 

Her name was Anna Banana. Anna allowed the 

children to call her 'Anna Banana' because they 

would giggle every time say those words. Anna 

loved the beautiful sound of the children's 

laughter. It made her day.

     Anna Banana has had Kathy, Billy and Susie in 

her care for a very long time. They were the 

grandchildren she never had. Anna had very 

special days where the children were able to visit 

the 'Dollars Store'. There was only one rule that 

they had to follow. Everyday the children had to 

collect all their recyclables   from around the 

house. They then had to place them in a big wicker 

picnic basket.

     '

     Every friday Kathy, Billy and Susie would come 

home from school on the big yellow bus. They 

would run really fast to help Anna load the basket 

of recyclables into the car. The recyclable 

building welcomed the children on every visit. The 

man would count all the recyclables and hand the 

money to Anna Banana. The money was shared 

between all of the children. 

     Kathy, Billy and Susie jumped for joy as they 

pulled into the 'Dollars Store' parking lot. The 

store was so big with lots of lights and plenty of 

things to buy.

     'Okay children you have $3.00 each so go and 

buy something you really want. You can buy 

anything you like' said Anna Banana

     There was so much to see. In a very short time 

each of the children chose their favorite items. 

Everyone gathered at the cash register and 

placed their items upon the counter. Billy picked a 

baseball and a bat that totaled $2.25. He had 

$.75 cents left over.
