Once upon a time there were two aliens, Thomas and George.They both began working at Out of This World Electronics when they
graduated from Martian University.
Thomas and George were both offered benefits when they were hired.
Thomas immediately signed up for the 401K plan offered by his employer.
He knew if he started at a young age his contributions would add up over
the length of his employment plus his employer would match his contributions.
George decided to put his savings in a coffee can located in his closet.

Thomas and George worked at Out of this World Electronics for 35 years.They both decided to retire on December 31,2060 when they turned 65 years old.
George said to Thomas, "How do you plan to spend your retirement?" Thomas replied, " My
wife and I are going to travel to all the planets we have never been to."
George said " Won't that take a lot of money? How can you afford it on our small retirement?
I have been putting $ 10 a week in my coffee can for 35 years and I only have my retirement plus
the 18,200 I have in my coffee can."
Thomas was shocked and speechless! He could not understand why George did not take advantage
of the fabulous 401K with matching funds, He and his wife had their pensions PLUS Thomas had
managed to invest 5 % of his salary in his 401K for 35 years. His total at savings was $440,949.00

So Thomas and his wife traveled the universe, seeingall the wonders of space, living very comfortable until
they passed on to eternal life in Jupiter.
George lived on his pension, barely making ends meet.
When he went to his eternal life he had $5.00 left in his
coffee can.

The moral of this story is plan for your retirement,take advantage of employee saving benefits, and live out
your golden years enjoying life. Use your coffee can for
coffee and your head to make financial investments.
