His friend found out she had it because her 

skin started changing colors.

Willie's friend told him that skin cancer is 

dangerous and can hurt your skin. She also 

told him that skin cancer can spread and 

become hard to treat if it is not found early.

Willie's friend told him there are 

different layers of the skin. The 

epidermis which is the outermost layer. 

The dermis is the second layer and has 

two layers that include the papillary and 

reticular. She said hypodermis is not 

really a skin layer but has close function 

like cushioning and insulation. Willie's 

friend told him that other functions are 

water, temperature, and material 

balance (it keeps things in and out), 

protection (from harmful things like 

chemical, thermal damage, and 

bacteria), also areas cushion and 

insulates things.

Willie's friend said there were different types of 

skin cancer like Basal Cell Carcinoma, 

Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Malignant 

Melanoma. These skin cancers name pretty 

much tells you the area they affect.

Willie's friend told him that skin cancer 

was bad because it make your skin not 

work right. She said that if you get skin 

cancer your skin can not protect you as 

well. She also told him it is hard to heal 

you skin if you get it.

Willie's friend told him that if you get skin 

cancer you skin can not protect you. It does 

not help keep a normal temperature, keep 

things in and out, and does not protect and 

insulate things in your body. It makes your 

skin loose balance.
