Once upon a time in a land far away lived a beautiful 

princess. She lived in a magnificent castle with a Daddy 

who loved her very much.

Her Dad was the King. His kingdom was filled with 

creative wonders that were beautiful to the eye.

There were crystal clear streams that worked their way 

through the kingdom like city streets. The forests were 

filled with majestic trees that reached beyond the clouds 

and into the heavens.

 There were soft grassy hills that the princess loved to roll 

down as fast as she could. The princess enjoyed lying in 

the grass and looking up into the bright blue skies to see 

the birds in flight and the clouds slowly drifting by.

But there was one part of the kingdom that was 

forbidden- the Black Forest. The King would tell the 

princess of its dangers and how deep and dark it was.

 "Many a soul has been lost within the Black Forest." the 

King would warn. Of course the princess would never 

think of entering the Black Forest... until one day.

On a bright and sunny afternoon, the princess had taken a 

walk. Before she knew it she was at the edge of the Black 

Forest. As she stared at the forbidden forest from the 

outside she wondered why her father had been so 

concerned. The Black Forest didn't appear to be 

dangerous.

In fact, its beauty was greater than any of the other forests 

in all the kingdom. Although a voice within her told her to 

walk away and return home, she didn't listen. Slowly, the 

princess entered the Black Forest. As she entered she was 

overwhelmed with its beauty. The trees were greener and 

taller than any others she had ever seen. 

The flowers were bright and beautiful! They produced a 

smell that was sweeter than anything she had ever 

experienced. As she walked, she could hear the wind as it 

gently blew through the trees. The princess continued 

deeper, and deeper and deeper into the forest. The deeper 

she went the darker it became.
