There once was a grasshopper, who lived in
a jar,
He seemed to be stuck, he could not jump
very far,
Longing to float, flutter, and glide through
the grass,
It seemed like a long shot, as he stared
through the glass,
He wished for a miracle, for something to
change,
He felt like his jar, was more of a cage.

Time goes by, and the days get slow,
Mr. Grasshopper doesn't have a lot of room
to grow,
He feels kind of sad, and he's giving up
hope,
Just then, a great flash, a loud snap, and a
glow,
Left standing so tall after the bright white
light,
Is what looks like a horse, with a horn, fit
for a knight

"Hi, my name is Charlie," Mr. Unicorn says,
"My name is Fred," Mr.Grasshopper said,"
"Well hello there Fred, you seem to be
stuck,"
"You got that right, i've just had no luck,"
"Maybe you can help, if you've got the
time"
"Of course I will help get you out of this
bind,"
"Let me just think, I'll come up with a
plan,"
"Thank you so much, i've been in such a
jam"

"Maybe, just maybe, if we try really hard,
we could tip it right over, and you'd be
freed from the jar,
He tilted his head, and bumped into the
table,
But the jar was too heavy, it just stood
there, so stable,
"Oh i just think it's too hard, I'll be in here
forever,
"Don't worry Fred, I'll think of something
clever"

Charlie thought of ideas, and wondered out
loud,
"I bet I can break it, with the horn, by my
mouth,"
He aimed for the jar, and picked out a
mark,
He lowered his horn, and got a head start,
He ran into the jar, but it did not break
apart,
It seems as though Fred, had a broken
heart

"Never, oh never, will I know what it's like,
to climb a great mountain, or see stars at
night,"
"Or dance in the wind, or sink in the snow,
or play in the grass, after it has been
mowed,"
