It was a nice, bright and sunny day at Farmer 

Henry's farm. Just a normal day, got up, ate 

breakfast, fed the animals. But something was 

wrong, he could just feel it. Still, Farmer Henry 

continued on with his day thinking, ¨Oh, 

nothing could be wrong on such a beautiful day 

like this one!¨ 

Later that day Farmer Henry noticed 

something, something very strange. He went to 

go feed the ducks when he saw…. Chuck The 

Duck was missing! Farmer Henry got so 

nervous, Chuck the duck was Farmer Henry's

prized duck.                           

So then the farmer went searching for his duck, 

but could not find him! So he went back to the 

farm for a little farmer snack of eggs, toast, and 

a nice fresh glass of milk. Then went to check 

on all of the other animals when he saw… They 

were all missing! First Chuck the Duck, now 

Moolisa, the cow, Mick, the chick, and Olivia, 

the pig! 

Farmer Henry goes searching for his animals 

day after day for a whole week! Then he notices 

some things in his mail box. It was a letter from 

the animals and a form to sign up for the 10 

year annual best farm competition, and Farmer 

Henry won 1st place every year! He couldn't 

lose just because of his animals running away! 

Farmer Henry was so nervous that he forgot to 

read the letter his animals sent him. 

It was then the day, the day of the 10th 

annual best farm competition, and Farmer 

Henry didn't have any farm animals to show 

off at the competition. But he remembered 

something! He didn't read the letter from his 

animals yet! Farmer henry was so happy, 

thinking that his animals just might come 

back. Sure enough he was right! 

The letter said....

¨Dear Farmer Henry,

We all know how much the 10th 

annual best farm competition 

means to you, but we just wanted 

some freedom for a bit. So we 

decided to come back just in time 

for the competition! We wish you 

good luck, and promise that we will 

never run away again...or at least 

this month.¨

Farmer Henry was so excited to read about 

this! Then he looks out the window and sees 

something. It's the 10th annual best farm 

judges, and Farmer Henry doesn't have his 

animals back yet! But wait! He sees 

something! Its his animals! Moolisa, Chuck 

the Duck, Mick, and Olivia, all running back to 

their pens and fences! The day is saved! Like 

all the other years, Farmer Henry wins again, 

and they all lived happily ever after!
