It was a warm day when Mayor Bear announced the annual Autumn Gathering in HuckleBee town. Everyone grabbed their suits and everyone grabbed their gowns.

Preparations for the Autumn Gathering were in full swing! Everyone was excited except for Benji Bunny, who didn’t have an ordinary family to bring.

His mother had brown fur, while his dad had white. No one would think that was alright.

“Do we have to go?” cried little Benji. “I don’t want anyone to know.”

“Know what, dear?” asked Mama Bunny. “What do you have to fear?”

“We don’t look alike!” huffed Benji, “That means we’re not a family, right?”

Papa Bunny frowned, “Let’s go to the Gathering, you’ll see what a family’s about.”

Benji sulked as he went to the town hall. He ran into some kids, including a pig named Paul.

“Where are all your parents?” oinked Paul after playing for a while. “My dads are over there,” he pointed with a smile.
