The three awesome ninjas needed a fast get away. So the each decided to build their own boat and see whose is better.
I can build a better boat then all of you.
No I can build a better one.

Ready...set...go!
They then went off to start building their boats.

First Bob started making his boat. He started with some very heavy logs. The logs weighed a lot and had a lot of mass.
4

I'm finally done. Now lets try it out.
As he finished he took the last rope and threw it over his head. This is a act of centripetal force because he swings the rope in a circle over his head.

Centripetal force

No it's sinking!!! The boat is too dense!!!!!

Buoyancy
Gravity
Oh no!! The forces were unbalanced, the boat is too dense. The boat sank. They can't use this boat.
6
Next it was sally's turn to build her boat. As she was moving the logs one rolled into the water. The sand was smooth and friction wasn't strong enough. The forces were unbalanced. Gravity over came friction and the log weighed too much.

Friction
Gracity
Oh no! The log rolled away.
7

Yay!!! I'm done with my boat. It will definitely work!!!!
The boat was finally done. Now its time to test sally's hypothesis.
8

No!!! It blew away. The was too weak.

Push of motor
Push of air/current
The motor wasn't strong enough. The forces were unbalanced and the push of air was stronger then the motor.
9

Yay!!! I have finished my boat. This boat has the perfect amount of mass. I hope it works!!!
Juan finished his boat. Now it's time to test it.
10

My idea worked!!! Gravity and buoyancy equal out. The forces are balanced. We can now set sail and get away from our enemies.
