Once upon a time, there lived a king named Minos. He was addicted to wealth and gold and didnt care much about anything else. He had even forgotten about his loving daughter, Maarigold.
2
One day he was approached by a fairy-boy who asked him to make a wish about anything he pleased. Out of his greed, King Minos asked for the golden touch,
that anything he touched would turn to gold. The fairy-boy granted him his wish.
3
The next morning, the king woke up and tried touching his shoes. They instantly turned to gold and the king was overjoyed. He went to eat breakfast, touching all his belongings along the way and exclaimed as they shimmered in gold. But as he held his bread in order to eat it, it instantly turned to rock-hard gold. When he went to kiss his daughter, she also turned into a gold statue. Suddenly the frightening realization hit him and he instantly started wailing to summon the fairy-boy.
4
The fairy boy agreed to remove the "curse" as the king called it now, on one condition, that the king would give up all his gold and wealth and never be greedy for materialistic things again. The king struggled to make the decision but eventually chose to get rid of the curse for he wanted to get back together with his daughter, Marigold, who he had loved most in the world, after gold.
5
Thus in the end, the king was forced to acknowledge his greed through which he has blindly plundered, forgetting about everything else in the world. Finally, the king lived the remainder of his life with his daughter and himself realized the true essence of life.
