"Cedric!" His mother yelled at the bottom of the steps. Cedric rolled out of bed and hit the floor. He put on his red T-shirt and his old jeans and ran down the steps. "Remember to pack your lunch and make your breakfast it's going to be a long ride." His mother says as Cedric rushes to get cereal. Cedric ate his breakfast and packed his lunch. Cedric walks out the door and takes one last look at his house.

Cedric sighed. He'd really miss his best friend Leo and his eighth grade teacher Mrs. Westly. "Mom, why do we have to move I'm going to miss all my friends." Cedric exclaimed. "You'll make new friends." His mom said softly. Cedric looked out the window a tear drop ran down his cheek. He looked at his town and the happy people walking their pets. Cedric loved New York he didn't wan't to go to Ohio.

He was already in Pennsylvania. He was half way to Ohio from New York he knew there was no turning back now. "Don't worry we will always visit Ohio so you won't miss your friends." Says his mom, that made Cedric feel a little better. Cedric had got his phone out. Played for a little bit and soon enough he was there. Cedric hopped out of the car. He looked up at his new home. It was nice.

He walked inside it was beautiful. It had a comfy couch a nice TV. Cedric ran upstairs to pick his room. He didn't pick the biggest but it was still pretty big. They got their stuff out of the moving van and got started. After Cedric was done it was almost 10:30. Cedric had school tomorrow so he got ready for bed. In the morning he got ready and headed off to school. Cedric walked through the door and a man walked up and scanned him.

"You need to go in there" he said pointing to the door. Cedric walked in. "You must be the new kid." Said a lady. "Lay down I'm going to put you in deep sleep so this won't hurt. "Wait what-"Cedric said but couldn't finish because he was deep sleep. When he woke up he did get exiting news but news that wasn't expected. He got told that he had flame powers. "Welcome to Lure Academy of power." Says the lady.

Cedric went into his class. "Sit down everyone we have a new kid. Cedric come to the front, so Cedric tell us your power, and where you use to live." "I'm from New York and my power is flames." Said Cedric "Okay today we are learning about Cedric's power, flames." said the teacher. At break time Cedric bumped into a boy. "Oh, sorry." Cedric said. "No, it's okay." The boy said looking at Cedric.

"Hey what's your name." The boy asked. "Cedric." said Cedric. "Cool, mine is Wilbur." Said the boy. Then a voice came on the speakers. "Break time is over come to your class we are going to make class leaders." Everyone raced to their class. "Okay class, we are going to vote for a class leader I'll be watching to make sure you won't vote for yourself." Said Cedric's teacher Mr. Willson.

Then another voice came on the speakers. "Come to he Main Hall to celebrate the class leaders." Everyone bashed into the Main Hall and sat down. "Now, I would like to introduce our class leaders. Ricky Halenson from Mrs. Carlon's class, Dawn Peters from Mr. Louis's class, and finally Cedric Primer from Mr. Willson's class, come on up guys." Said Mrs. Larker the HeadMaster.

Cedric got a peace of paper he read it.

Then a large group of people wearing black clothes swooped in. "Killers! Everyone go straight to you classes and leaders you stay here!" Shouted Mrs. Larker. "We'll be back." said one of the killers. "Okay leaders we need a plan." Said Mrs. Larker "I have an idea we could gather the school and when the killers come back we could fight using all of our super powers." Said Cedric.

Cedric couldn't feel himself. He ran to a mirror he couldn't see himself. Cedric knew something was wrong. Then he saw killers he started to run. He remembered he had powers. But his powers didn't work. Then Cedric woke up everyone was staring at Cedric. "You passed out." Said Wilbur. Cedric was in Lure Academy's hospital. It was awkward but Cedric was relieved that he was alive.

He could feel himself and he went to a mirror and could see himself. "We took your plan about the killers Cedric." Said Mrs. Larker. "I know those killers won't be back for a while so let's enjoy this time till they do." She said. Wilbur took Cedric to his real bed in Lure Academy. Cedric lays down. He says to himself, I have powers, over and over again. He imagined himself at home right now.

Cedric got up and opened the window and tossed some flames. Cedric felt like fire just went up his spine. So the next thing he knew he was back in the hospital. The nurse the told him it's something that happens when you use your powers for the first time. Wilbur was standing with a cup in his hand when Cedric came out. Cedric looked at Wilbur like he was saying really Wilbur.

Wilbur just looked back at Cedric. Wilbur used his super speed to zoomed away from Cedric. The next thing he knew he was just a boy standing in the hallway of Lure Academy. "Cedric, back to class." Said Mr. Willson. Cedric headed to class. When Cedric got into class he sat down. "Today we will be training for when the killers come. Mr. Willson said. Cedric stood up. Cedric was ready for training.
