Saint Patrick
Saint Patrick was born in Britain in 387
His real name was Padraig.

When Padraig was 16 years old he was kidnapped by raiders and taken to Ireland.

In Ireland, Padraig was forced to take care of sheep.

Four years later, when Padraig was 20 years old he had a dream and was inspired to escape and return to Britain.

Once he escaped he returned and was reunited with his family. After this he decided to be a priest.

After many years of studying, Padraig returned to Ireland to share what he had learned with the people there. He taught them about Christianity for 40 years and many were converted.

St. Patrick's Day Today
On March 17, 487 Saint Patrick died. We now celebrate the 17th of March to celebrate all that he did.
