One day Timothy's throat hurt so his parents told him that he was going to the doctor. Timothy was very nervous. His mother told him that his visit would not hurt; the doctor would make him feel better, so Timothy got into the car and went to the doctor's office.

2
When he arrived, he spotted some cool toys and coloring books that helped calm his nerves. As he was playing, he heard his name called by a nurse named Dee. She had a smile on her face and was very kind to Timothy as him and his parents walked down a hallway.

3
As he turned a corner, there was a scale and height reading device on the wall. All he had to do was stand on the scale and then stand against the wall so the nurse could get some numbers.

4
From there, Timothy and his parents were lead into an examination room. Nurse Dee asked Timothy's parents about his Hx and then asked if she could take his blood pressure.

5
She used a sphygmomanometer, which squeezed his arm, and a stethoscope from around her neck that she placed on his arm to get more numbers. She was measuring how the heart is pumping blood.

6
Timothy did not have hypotension nor did he have hypertension, so Nurse Dee told him that his heart was healthy.

7
Then, Nurse Dee put her fingers on Timothy's wrist as she watched a clock; she came up with more numbers. She told him that she was taking his pulse from the radial artery.

8
Timothy did not have a hypokinetic or hyperkinetic pulse, which was good.

9
She took his temperature with a thermometer; he was normal-98.6 degrees Fahrenheit.

10
Then, Nurse Dee left the room and Dr. George entered. He looked into Timothy's throat with a tongue depressor, used an otoscope to check his ears, and an ophthalmoscope to check his eyes.
