I am Noelle the mermaid. This is my diary. My story begins when I was a baby. I was a happy little mermaid baby until... a human boy captured me!!! I was like a little play creature to him. He tilted me left to right and backwards and forwards in an odd rocking motion. He was running while he did it. Then he stopped when he got inside a house. He wrapped my tail and me up. Next he gently laid me in a cradle. All I could do was sleep... fooorrrr... 5 years.

When I woke up I was being squished by the crib. I was over 5 years old. I could not get out of my crib because it was sooo tight!

Ouch!

Suddenly, there was a boy's strong hands around me, he was pulling on me. "Come out!" He grunted under his breath. With a little more pulling and tugging he finally got me out of that crib. I was a little bit happier, but I wanted to go back to the ocean. I told Johnny (the boy) so. "Fine!" he said angrily. "Go back to your silly ocean and leave me!" So I left him and I happily went back to my ocean. While I was collecting sea-stars I saw something I hadn't before, or at least didn't remember seeing. "Hey," the something said. "My name is Derek. I- as you should know (which I didn't)- am a merboy. Do you want to see a suns? It's very beautiful. We can see it... together. " I shrugged. "Alright." I said. "By the way, I'm Noelle."
