Who are we going to learn about history with?!
4

Hi! I'm Madison, but you can call me Maddie! You'll be going on an adventure with me. During our adventure we will talk about history as well as visit some historical places! Come on let's go!
5
Geography

Our first stop is Geography! What are you supposed to do when you have to find your way home from Disney Land or Cedar Point? Well you can use these things called latitude and longitude lines. What are these lines?
They measure the earth, a little like when you help your mom make a cake and you measure the flour and sugar or maybe even the milk. They are drawn on a map to help find places you may want to go. You can't see them either.
6
Latitude lines go side-to-side. As in this picture.
Longitude lines go up-and-down. As you see in this picture.
7
The Scoop on Money

Our next stop is economy. Economy is how you describe the way in which people live. There are four bosses: Command Economy, Market Economy, Traditional Economy, and a Mixed Economy.
8
Don't you want some money?!
9
Different Types of Economies:
1. Traditional
2. Market
3. Command
4. Mixed
10
Traditional is were the people basically control it. A market economy is were a person controls what they sell. A command economy the government controls the economy. Mixed is where market, command, and traditional are mixed.
Economy
11

America is a developed country.
12
Developed and Undeveloped
Developed nations have more business, more money, and a high GDP per capita. They have better education and they have health-care. United States, Canada, most European nations are developed countries.
Undeveloped nations have less business, they have more agriculture (farming), most have disease, food shortages with poor education and health-care.
13
Government
What is a government? A government is an organization that controls everything... Including the laws. There are 7 types of governments!
14
Types of Governments:
1. Tribal Rule
2. Direct Democracy
3. Representative Democracy
4. Constitutional Monarchy
5. Dictatorship
6. Absolute Monarchy
7. Oligarchy
15
I'm not going to write much on this because I don't want to bore you. 1. Tribal Rule: members of the tribe make group decisions. 2. Direct Democracy: all adults vote to make decisions. 3. Representative Democracy: all adults vote to elect someone to run the country.
4. Constitutional Monarchy: there is a ruler but they have very little power. 5. Dictatorship: A ruler takes over the country and rules it single handed. 6: Absolute Monarchy: Ruler as all the power. 7. Oligarchy: Ruled by a small group of people.
