3

4

D-Breezy had all his music done for his newest mixtape but he just needed a place to record.
5

But first D-Breezy has to find a record deal to make him a big star by providing the money and the equipment needed.
6

So he went to one of the best record producing companies. They were called "Paper Chasing Organization."
7

Hey Mr. Paper Chasing Organization. I was wondering if you would sign me on a record deal.
8

Why should I sign you?
9

I've done a lot of research about rap and I think I've got what it takes.
10

Okay. Show me what you got because becoming a rapper isn't easy.
11

Rapping is one of the toughest style of music to conquer because it is really competitive and you have to be unique to become successful.
12

I've planned on rapping about the good things in life unlike other rappers and show kids rap music can have a good influence to be unique.
13

I like to rap about the things people should be happy for. I want to rap for teens and kids in a positive way.
14

I want to become a big rapper and donate my money instead of spending it on meaningless stuff like cars and a huge house.
15

I like your vision but I need to know what you know about the past and present of rap.
16

I know a lot of stuff about the rap game and I can tell you everything about it.
17

More than a thousand years ago in West Africa, people told stories with a rhyme in the background to music.
18

Over the years, this african tradition was past down and still is practised in West Africa.
19

This tradition came to the United States during the slave trade when people from Africa were brought here.
20

When the people of Africa were enslaved, they would "rap" to get relief.
21

A guy named Dj Kool Herc was the first ever Dj to perform and he paved the way to the other people who got into DJing.
22

Many Dj's hopped on the trend and started performing at local events to.
23

But when Dj Kool herc was Djing, an unknown person came on stage and started saying words with a rhyme.
24

And there it started. The first form of rap. The first official known rapper/rapper band was Kurtis Blow and the famous Sugar Hill Gang.
25

The SugarHill gang was one of the first rapping band and it was created in 1979.
26

They're hit song Rapper's Delight was the first ever rap song to be on top 40 of the billboard top 100.
27

That made more artists interested in becoming a rapper and soon the billboard top 100 was filled with rap songs.
28

During the late 1980s and the early 1990s, a new form of rap formed called Gangsta Rap.
29

Gangsta rap was the most popular form of rap and that is what took rap music to the next level.
