PROLOGUE

It's been a year since the wedding of Prince Robert and Princess Skyler.

Many of their friends attended. But Robert and Skyler had two special friends who went unnoticed.

This is their story of true love.

The hen's name was Coco. And she was the most beautiful chicken Pecker had ever seen.

Pecker said, "You are so white!"

"Thank you," said Coco, "I have never been outside the castle by myself before."

"You haven't?" asked Pecker.

"Nope," said Coco.

"Where have you been?" said Pecker.

"In my room. My name is Coco," said the hen.

"Coco, if you have always stayed near the castle, then why are you sneaking out?" asked Pecker.

"Because I want to see more of the world and have adventures," said Coco.

"Good for you!" said Pecker.

Coco and Pecker decided to shop for some food in the local village.

They both ran to Skyler's room and sat on the floor. They played for hours and hours until they got tired.

"It's time for me to go to bed," said Coco. "But before you go, how would you feel about another adventure tomorrow?"

"That sounds like fun," said Pecker. "See you tomorrow!"

Coco had a really, really good idea!

As Coco was falling asleep, she thought,

"We can spread our wings and go for a ride on the royal plane tomorrow. I want to know more about my new friend."

As Pecker was falling asleep, he thought.

"Whatever Coco is planning, we're going to have fun. I want to know more about my new friend."

The next morning Coco went to pick up Pecker in the royal plane.

"Hi!" said Coco, "Are you ready?"

"Yay!" and "YES!" said Pecker.

So off they went. Little did Pecker know he was headed to the sandy beaches of Hawaii!

The plane landed with a bump on the beach.

Coco said, "We're finally here! That took longer than I thought it would."

"Where are we?" asked Pecker.

"We are in Hawaii. This is where my friend Skyler was born."

"Cool!" said Pecker.

Coco said, " This is the first time I have ever brought someone to Hawaii. It's my favorite place because it makes me feel happy, just like you do!"

Pecker blushed when Coco said that, but no one could see because his black feathers covered his cheeks.

Coco and Pecker returned to the castle. They wanted to eat out at a restaurant.

"Let's find something online!" said Pecker.

"Yay!" said Coco, "it's my first time looking online."

They found a restaurant called The Nesting Box and ate apples, cheese, bread and mealworms.
