This book is dedicated to Kalea.

You have added much love to Ms. Hinds and Bubbles lives.

They love you as high as the sky, and as deep as the ocean.

Bubbles the white friendly rabbit was thoroughly

enjoying his life and his many new adventures in

Hawaii.

He felt like he had hit the jackpot when he was adopted

by a kind hearted teacher named Ms. Hinds.

How she cared for him, showed

him everyday what love was, and

he was forever thankful.

Trips to the park and

visits to school, made

his days fun and exciting.

He could not imagine that

his life could get any better.

Little did he know, it was

going to do just that.

Ms. Hinds loved teaching, and she also loved animals.

She would often volunteer at her local animal shelter.

She enjoyed caring for the animals and helped

with adoption events.

She worked hard to make sure that the

animals who were being adopted, went

to just the right homes.

Ms. Hinds often thought about adopting another animal.

She knew that she would one day, but she needed to be

sure that it would be the right fit for her and Bubbles.

                     Bubbles enjoyed seeing other animals at the

                            park, so she knew that there was a good

                                  chance that she would find just the

                                       right match for their family.

                                                    One day she had a great idea.

She decided to foster two kittens. The kittens were

sisters. Their names were Belle and Aurora.

They were small and needed time to grow bigger

and stronger before they could be adopted.

Ms. Hinds was excited to see how Bubbles would

react to the kittens staying with them for a few

weeks.

When she first brought Belle and Aurora home, Bubbles

was very curious to see what was happening.

Ms. Hinds left the kittens in the carrier for a few minutes

so that Bubbles could see the kittens and the kittens could

see Bubbles.

They did very well, so Ms. Hinds

let the kittens out of the carrier

and they officially met.

Bubbles did not seem

afraid of the kittens,

and the kittens did not

seem afraid of Bubbles

Ms. Hinds was very

happy that everything

was going well.

Over the next few weeks,

Bubbles enjoyed watching

Belle and Aurora play.

They enjoyed watching

Bubbles too.

Belle and Aurora grew bigger and stronger

and were finally ready to be adopted.

They had a family waiting for them, so they would not be

staying with Ms. Hinds and Bubbles any longer.

When they left for their forever home, Bubbles looked for

them everyday. Ms. Hinds could tell that he missed them.

Bubbles wished that Ms. Hinds would

adopt another animal. He wished for a

sister of his very own.

                                One day, Ms. Hinds was volunteering at

                      the animal shelter and was talking to another

                      volunteer who told her about a small black and

                      white dog who needed a forever home.

                           She told her that the dogs name was Kalea.

                      She described her as a sweet and gentle dog

                    who surprisingly, was comfortable being around

                    other small animals.      

Ms. Hinds told the volunteer that she was very interested

to see if Kalea would be a good fit for her and Bubbles.

The volunteer was happy to hear this because she cared about Kalea very much and wanted her to have a good home.

They decided that Ms. Hinds

would take Kalea home for a

few weeks to see how Bubbles

and Kalea got along.

On the day that Ms. Hinds brought Kalea home, Bubbles had been napping. When he heard the door open, he ran

to see Ms. Hinds.

He was very curious to see what she had.

He wondered if she had a new bag of his favorite treats.

Maybe she had some carrots or lettuce.

To his amazement he saw Kalea and his eyes lit up.

Kalea saw Bubbles too, and happily she wasn't afraid.
