Once upon a time there was a small town made of… DOUGHNUTS! The streets were made out of sprinkles.

At the Doughnut School, kids were learning about George Washington cutting down a doughnut tree.

After school, the kids saw that it was raining sprinkles!

The next day it was snowing doughnuts, but it was snowing the biggest doughnuts in the world!

The next day when everyone got to school, EVERYONE started chatting about the big storm the day before.

Mrs. Davis (our Doughnut Town teacher) put a finger to her mouth meaning: “Silence!”

She told everyone that it was history time. Everyone then became silent and listened. “Today's history is going to be about how Doughnut town started.” Mrs. Davis said.

“Okay, so, a long time ago there lived a wizard named Jane the Great. Jane loved DOUGHNUTS. Jane loved doughnuts so much that she made up a potion to make her town - DOUGHNUT TOWN. That is how Doughnut Town came to be. And guess what?” Mrs. Davis said.

“What?!” Carter replied.

“Jane Daigle is the principal!” Mrs. Davis said with a shout.

“Wait!” Alexandra said. “If Jane is the principal, then we could ask her to change this town so it’s not so dangerous, to a REGULAR TOWN!"

“Brilliant idea, Alexandra!” Mrs. Davis cried. Alexandra smiled, and then continued listening. “So, who wants to go with Alexandra to see Mrs. Daigle?” Mrs. Davis asked.

“Oh! Me Me!” said Ashley. “You two can go now,” Mrs. Davis said. So off they went...

“Hello, Mrs. Daigle!” Ashley and Alexandra said together.

“Yes, yes, yes, I know you heard about my childhood and you want a spell to make this town regular.” Mrs. Daigle said.

“Yes, please!” Ashley said.
