Imagine yourself 3,000 years ago in the land of Pharoahs and Mummies! Pharoahs acted like Gods; they were able to treat their people like slaves. Farming was easy for the workers so they had plenty of left over time to build pyramids, learn new information, and create an alphabet. Egyptians left their mark on history.
Introduction
3
Pharoahs
The Pharoahs were a kind of government called a theocracy. The Pharoahs considered themselves as Gods and so did the people! Therefore, the people had to help build pyramids used for Pharoahs' tombs. Women, kids, and men could all be Pharoahs. In fact, King Tut became a pharaoh when he was only nine years old.

KING TUT AND CLEOPATRA!!!!!

5
Government
In Ancient Egypt, the government was a theocracy where the pharoah acted as the supreme leader of all people in Egypt. People in Ancient Egypt believed in an afterlife where the pharoahs would be up in heaven. Therefore, the people of Egypt devoted their whole life making a tomb for the pharoah and his or her possessions. They believed that the possessions would go with their ruler in the afterlife, and that they would be guaranteed into the afterlife as well.

THEOCRACY IS A BLEND OF RELIGION AND POLITICS!!!!

7
Religion
The religion of the Ancient Egyptians included many gods such as Ra (the sun god), Orsis (the god of the dead), Isis (goddess of life), and Horus (god of the sky). The Egyptians worshiped these gods, which represented specific elements in life and controlled nature. This practice helped their communities keep the peace with each other.

THESE ARE SOME OF THE GODS THAT THE EGYPTIANS WORSHIPED!

9
Class System:
Ancient Egyptians' social structure was like a pyramid. There were many classes like the ruling class (pharoah), the upper (vizers), middle class (high priest, nobles, and the officials/scribes), and the lower classes (craftsmen, farmers, slaves, and peasants.) The Egyptians worked for the pharoah because they believed that the pharoah was connected to the gods. The class system doesn't sound fair, but it was necessary for the society to run.
