Once upon a time there was a cat named S'mores and a dog named Fred who engaged in an unlikely friendship.

Fred was from the Upper East River and loved to take risks. One day while he was coming home from work he noticed a sign for the investment in stock, partial ownership in a company. Once Fred saw this he knew this was his next adventure so he called a local stockbroker, James, and invested most of his savings into a company on the rise.

While Fred was at the bank withdrawing his savings he met a cat named S'mores who was trying to decide what investment would have little risk and could help her in the future. After chatting with the teller S'mores decided that a savings bond was just the thing for her, a bond you purchase for a lower price now and then in future years you can cash it in for more money then what you paid for it.

Fred was very impulsive and S'mores was very cautious, the two could not be more different, however, without Fred's bravery they may never have met. After S'mores was done with her investment Fred approached her about her investment and asked her why she invested her money that way.

S'mores explained to Fred that she wanted to plan for her future and make sure that she did not lose any of her money. Fred then suggested that they go get something to eat and discuss their investments further. S'mores agreed and off they went. Over dinner S'mores and Fred discovered they liked each other and scheduled another date to come.

Over the following weeks S'mores and Fred were inseparable and fell in love. Fred went to the jeweler to pick out a ring for the love of his life but discovered that he did not have enough money because he had spent it months earlier to invest in stock.

Fred went directly to James and explained he wanted to sell his part in the company so he could buy a ring for S'mores. James said he understood and Fred got $5,000 more then he originally spent because the company was doing really well. Then, Fred went and bought the ring

Days later Fred proposed to S'mores, who accepted, and they were married shortly after in an outdoor ceremony surrounded by their friends and family.

After the two got back from their honeymoon they discovered that the company Fred had invested in went bankrupt and investors lost everything, so it was a good thing Fred got out while ahead!

Years later Fred and S'mores hit a rough patch with the economy being so bad, and were worried they were not going to be able to afford their dream house. Then, they remembered S'mores' investment of a savings bond from years ago. They went to the bank and cashed it in and received more then enough money to build their dream house together. And the two lived happily ever after.
