This is Lucy. Lucy loves to dance. She could dance all day and be the happiest little girl. Last week at school Lucy's teacher taught about the types of foods Lucy needed to eat to keep her body healthy so she could keep dancing.

Before we start shopping I want to show you the food pyramid my teacher gave to my class.

3 servings of fruit will give you a strong heart and help your muscles.
3 servings of us veggies will help you grow and give you good eyesight!
My protein will help you grow taller, and repair tissues!
Too much of me will make you sick!
I'll give you strong bones!
6 servings of grains will give you energy and help your nervous system.

Milk is calcium. Calcium can help our bones grow stronger, and our make our teeth tougher. Some other examples of this food group are cheese and yogurt.
