5
The Attention Process
This subprocess works by grabbing one's attention.
Engagement is key. May be driven by interests.
I see this in my class when I do my anticipatory set to engage the students with the upcoming lesson.
6

7
The Retention Process
All observations must be remembered to be imitated.
There must be a memory for the child to refer to.
My students show retention when they verbally recall to me what we did to practice a concept.
8

9
The Motor Reproduction Stage
This is where children put their observations to practice. At this stage, they will try to reenact what they've seen.
My students enter this subprocess when they demonstrate understanding. It usually takes the form of an assessment or activity to recreate the learned concept.
