This was a secret place and in the middle of the wood stood a lovely old house.

Nobody knew the house was there, except for special people who came to visit.

This house was the home of Nana Linda, Papa Keith and their two dogs, called Archie and Angus MacPuppy.

Then there was Tam and Scott the gardeners, they were very busy every day, looking after the garden and the woods.

Now, Nana Linda and Papa Keith had been looking after these enchanted woods for 20 years, making sure that all the little creatures that lived in the woods were safe and would always have plenty of food to eat.

They built little houses in the trees for the little red squirrels to collect their food and hung out lots of nuts and seeds in the trees, so that all the little birds would never be hungry.

They made a special pond with fountains and waterfalls and an island in the middle, so that the frogs had a safe place to hide when they leaped in and out of the pond. 

Papa Keith got some fish for the pond and they would swim about all day and play under the fountains.

So this was a very busy wood with birds flying about all day, squirrels running up and down the trees, fish swimming in the pond and frogs leaping about the lily pads.

But Nana Linda new there was one thing missing! 

Well this would be some little Fairies to truly enchant the woods.

So she sent Tam the gardener, shopping to buy some special wood, so that he and Scott could set about making a little door for the bottom of a big old Pine Tree. 

When they had finished they laid a little key under the mat outside the door, in the hope that the Fairies would visit.

Because everybody knows that if you give the Fairies a door then you will invite them in.

For many months Nana Linda would walk through the woods with Archie and Angus MacPuppy to visit the secret little door and look under the mat, but the key was always there.

Then one day on the 11th January 2016 Nana Linda and Papa Keith were walking in woods with Archie and Angus, when they heard a little voice coming from the bottom of the big old Pine Tree!

Nana Linda looked down and there, as if by magic was a tiny little garden outside the door, Nana Linda kneeled down and lifted the tiny mat. The key was gone!
