The car came screaming around the corner, it sped past us throwing a thick cloud of dust. Before we had time to think, a police car came speeding around the corner, sirens wailing.

One minute, we were at the school slumber party with our class. Lying on a bouncy beanbag near Jean. Giggling and gossiping while choking on sour lollies and scrumptious chocolate. Our eyes fixed on the horror movie. The day couldn’t get any better. the stars were stolen from the sky. There was a flicker of light outside. $
“Did you see that?”
“See what?” she asked carelessly. Her deep blue eyes were staring at the TV like a hawk seeking food.
“I must've imagined it.”
All of a sudden the lights dimmed slowly. I could feel the darkness, fear and tension around me. The clock just hit midnight. The minute of fun, had just ended.
“Jean? Jean! Where are you!” I squealed as I walked around with my hands out infront of me, feeling nothing but the manipulating air tricking me as I move.
“Right here.” A flood of relief rushed through me. I sensed the presence of her right next to me and instantly felt safe.

Jean got up. I heard footsteps momentarily hitting the ground. Though they were getting quieter and quieter.
“Don’t leave me again!” I scrambled around and darted toward her footsteps. “JENEVA NARCISSA RANGER! DON’T YOU DARE LEAVE ME AHHHH!” I walked straight into a table. I got up cautiously this time. I finally found her.
“Here take this piece of rope so we don’t get lost!” Jean took it
“Let’s find the door.” I demanded.
“OK.”
“And where’s everyone else?” I asked, only just realising we were the only two people there.
“I... have no clue.”

There was something suspicious about the way that Jean spoke. She was the wise one. Who always knew what to do in situations like these. I looked into her light green eyes trying to figure out what was behind them. What was she hiding. Then it hit meJean never had green eyes. Her eyes were dark blue.
“Who are you?” The voice barely left my throat before I was slashed to the floor. I felt like white hot knives were piercing my skin. I bellowed as my eyes started scorching as tears leaked down my eyes like a river. The rope left the grip of my fingertips. She was gone.
I was infuriated.
