Once upon a time there was a girl named Jaime who was a student at Chico State. This semester, Jaime knew that she would be busy and have a lot on her plate. 

When looking for classes to take for her child development major, Jaime stumbled upon a class that seemed to engage her. This class was titled: Overview of Special Education. Jaime believed that a special education teacher was one of the the most important jobs in the nation! 

See, Jaime’s goal was to become a teacher one day. So she couldn’t wait to start this class right away! 

Before this class, Jaime’s knowledge on special education was slim to none. She was unaware of the educational challenges that a disability can have on someone. All special needs students needed similar help and guidance is what she would assume. But Jaime soon learned that each child is different in a classroom.
