Walter Elias Disney was a humorous child. Walt loved to play practical jokes. In the book " Who Was Walt Disney" by Whitney Stewart, she quotes in the book saying " Once he caught a field mouse and made a leash for it out of string. He waltzed into class and paraded his new pet around the room." That proves that Disney was the biggest class clown in probably every grade in his school. Plus, he didn't even care that he got in trouble!
Walt was born in a two-story cottage on North Tripp Avenue in Chicago, man-made by his father, Elias. Walt's mother, Flora, was a teacher, but had to retire, or quit, her job to raise her five children. However, Elias had a short temper and was very strict with his family, and frankly, everyone. Walt also loved to ride pigs, and then fall into the mud. After his family and himself went through a rough time in his neighborhood, they had no choice to move elsewhere. They decided to move to a small house in Missouri. In fact, they made a marvelous choice to move there! Walt loved the little house. Moving there gave Walt the happiest, adventurous, and playful time of his whole childhood!
