Water makes the snowflake form. Water vapor freezes in clouds. There are frozen seeds in a cloud that make the frozen droplets connect into snowflakes. When the cloud becomes too full, the snowflakes fall.

Snowflakes are frozen water. When snowflakes fall from the clouds, a bunch of snowflakes connect together to make bigger snowflakes. When its colder, the snowflakes are bigger than when its warmer. When its warmer, the snowflakes are different shapes than when its colder. You can call them snow crystals too.

Snow is so fun to play in. You can go sledding. You can have a snowball fight. You can build a snow castle or snow fort. You can build a snowman. You can build an igloo. You can build snow sculptures. You can jump in it. You can snowboard. You can catch snowflakes on your tongue. You can eat snow! Miss K. says you can drink hot chocolate inside.

When snow falls and gets warm, it melts. Then sometimes, it can freeze into ice. You can ice skate on frozen ponds.
