Teen Depression- A serious mental health problem that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest in activities. It affects how your teenager thinks, feels and behaves and it can cause emotional, functional and physical problems.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death among adolescents with depression.

Risk Factor- A teen having depression can lead to suicide because they feel that they have no one to talk to, they don't know what they are feeling or want, loose interest in anything that they really love like sports, and loosing a friend can also impact a teen while being depressed.

Steps on how to help a depressed person you are concerned about:

1.No aces to fired arms or anything that they can self harm them self.

2.Ask if they will be safe anywhere they go or are and let them know you care.

3.Make sure they are feeling welcomed any where they go and try to keep an eye on them at all times.
