"Put one paw down, then the other in front of it, and your hind paws in reverse order," Jay said to her seven day old pup. "Little, reverse the order of your hind paws, it'll feel better." Jay Told Little. "Mama, I'm trying!" Little barked. Jay stood up, and walked over to Little. "Watch me." She said. She trotted back and forth. Little put one paw in front of the other, and made her left hind paw go back. Then she repeated, reversing."Good job, Little!" Jay said as she gave Little a lick. Little groaned a small bit, because she just wanted to know how to do all of this stuff naturally. It was a bit embarrassing when she got praised for doing something so simple. "Whats next?" Little said with a sigh.
"The next thing i shall teach you is how to jump and leap." Jay said to her scowling pup. "Mom! I can learn this stuff on my own! Leave me be!" Little growled. Jay took a step back. "How..How dare you! How dare you talk to me that way!" Jay said, dumbstruck. Little turned around, and walked outside of the den with her tail swishing behind her, and wobbling a little bit. She watched a squirrel run up a tree. She chased it, not knowing how to control how fast she runs, tripping over her paws, and slamming into a tree. Jay watched in horror. Little growled in anger. She decided to try to run again. She began to walk, slowly adding speed, until she was running around the tree, making dirt and dust fly.
