To my mom for taking me to see this ballet when I was 9. To my dad who supported me while dancing in this ballet when I was 11. To my cast-crew for being there for me when I was worried about the performance.

Once there was a girl named Clara. Her family was having a Christmas party with there friends. Clara dances and talks with her friends. She eats ham and turkey. There are green beans and dressing. Salad and fruits. There is even a cake. The best part is the Christmas tree. It is big and beautiful. The color shone off the tree like stain glass windows.
Her uncle Drosselmeyer came with presents. He gave Clara a magnificent nutcracker. She loved it. Her brother wanted it though so as she danced with it in her hands he grabbed it and accidentally broke it. Clara was heartbroken. Uncle Drosselmeyer came and fixed. She was happy. Her brother was punished. She put it in the cabinet for safekeeping. The party went on but eventually ended.
Everyone went to bed by 11:00. A little before midnight Clara snuck into the living room to see her nutcracker. She fell asleep. She was awoken by huge mice and then realized she had been shrunk. Then all of a sudden her nutcracker and some tin soldiers came. There was a battle. The mouse king came and fought the nutcracker. Clara saves the nutcracker and the battle is over.
The Nutcracker takes Clara to a forest where they dance. Then they are greeted by the snowflakes. They dance together beautifully. Their snow queen comes and dances with them. They rise up to there toes and dance to a long piece of music. They have not prepared for the dance yet the snowflakes dance like it.
They arrived in a land of candy. They were greeted by Red Rose. She was one of the rulers of the land. Clara stepped out of the sleigh. Suddenly the mouse queen attacked. The nutcracker fought her. Red Rose protected Clara during the short fight. The nutcracker defeated the mouse queen.
