This book is dedicated to Cameron Reedy and all the Puerto Rican Parrots also Mr.Landry for teaching the best class ever. (Our class)

Pete the Puerto rican parrot had a problem where his grandfather was not able to fly. Then Pete had that problem passed down to him because of the flow of the problem through the generations

Pete trying to get over the fact that he will never fly suddenly ran into the big bad tiger named Brayton and then let out a vicious roar.

Pete let out a loud screech and sent Brayton running into the woods. As Pete went on thinking he would never find out how to fly he thought of something he could go to the humans and have them check it out. There was a town not to far from where Pete was he could walk there and be there in a days notice. So Pete was determined to get to the town and find out why he can't fly.
ONE DAY LATER.... Pete had finally made it to the vets office at the center of town and had been sent in for a DNA scan to see if this flying problem had something to do with his genes. Genes are a unit of heredity that is transferred from a parent to offspring and is held to determine some characteristic of the offspring.

DNA is a self-replicating material present in nearly all living organisms as the main constituent of chromosomes. It is the carrier of genetic information. Heredity is things such as height, eye color, and athletic abilities passed down through the generations
