Dedicated to my Dad Thomas, Mom Jacque, and my younger brother Wyatt who help me along the way and take me on great adventures.

The chilly air carries the chimes of the bells as the town clock struck eight in the morning. There, in the middle of this small, quiet, and crowded village, stood an old town clock.
In this village live sisters Rebecka and Jessica. Rebecka is nine years old and in fourth grade. While her younger sister, Jessica is seven years old and is in first grade.

The sun shines its light through the window.
Rebecka and Jessica were waking up to the sound of the birds chirping outside.
With eyes barely open and struggling to wake up, they heard a shrill scream coming from their kitchen.

The sisters rushed to the kitchen to find out what was happening. “Mom,” Jessica said. “ What’s going on?”
“Yeah, Mom.” Rebecka said yawning. “We’re not going to school today, its Saturday.”
“Now, now, children,” Father began, “Your mother just got shaken.”
“How about you go for a walk?” suggested their Father to their shaken Mother. Their mom nodded and off she went for a walk. A few minutes later, their Dad left the kitchen. Rebecka and Jessica were left in the kitchen wondering what was that all about. They did not notice that their trusty pet cat Lucy wasn’t sleeping in her bed by the kitchen door.

The next day, the girls woke up to the sound of an angry, complaining and frustrated crowd of towns people.
“Jessica?” Rebecka asked. “What is going on?”
“Something about the town clock,” Jessica answered, with her sleepy eyes looking out the window. Rebecka could see that Jessica looked very tired and sleepy.
Then, something caught her brown eyes. It was a Scroll! "Hey Jessica," Rebecka said, "You probably didn't sleep well because you have a scroll under your pillow."
"WHAT?!" Jessica replied.
"Yup", Rebecka said as Jessica pulled out the scroll.

Both sisters were in shock as they read the writing on the scroll.
Rebecka and Jessica,
it is i who stole your pet cat and the gear from the town clock. you can get them back if you alone will journey to my lair. become a town hero if you dare! good luck!
P.s.... Try Not To Fight!
Sakara
Now they knew who took the cat and why the village people were furious. "Mom, Mom. Dad, Dad, come here quickly!!" the sisters shouted.
"We are coming!" Mom shouted back. Together they read the scroll. They needed to rescue Lucy the cat and bring back the gear to restore the town clock.

So excited to become a village hero, Rebecka pushed her sister and started the journey. “Hey!!” Jessica called crying. “Wait up!” she ran after her. (What could happen next????) Ten minutes later, Jessica caught up to her sister. “Why did you do that?” she asked in a firm voice. That did it. They started bickering and fighting.
Meanwhile, in Sakara’s lair. Sakara and her pet bat were watching the sisters. “See?” Sakara said to her pet bat. “My plan worked perfectly.”
“You mean MY plan,” thought the bat.

Soon enough, they reached a river. “We’ll jump over it,” Rebecka said.
“But it's too wide,” Jessica said.
“I know, but if we go fast enough we can,” Rebecka said proudly using her best knowledge.
But Jessica said, “We can swing across the vines.” Rebecka ignored her. The sisters did it their way. Jessica was on her last vine, but she almost slipped. As Jessica got ready to feel the frigid water, she jumped to the ground in the nick of time! Her sister was waiting on the other side with a smirk on her face.
“So, I was right,” Rebecka said proudly. That did it again. Jessica, feeling so irritated, picked up a twig and threw it at Rebecka. Rebecka teased her back and kicked Jessica's le, gcausing her to tumble to the ground.
“FINE!” a very annoyed Jessica cried. "GO AHEAD!"
