All of the sudden,

without any notice,

my mom broke some news

that left me confused.

"It's time to get started!

The fun and excitement!

The amazing food train

from the station departed!"

"Let's all get aboard,

it's time to have fun,

you'll be the conductor

of a food train galore!"

Let's Choo-Choo chew your food!

And so it began.

The fruits and the rice,

the veggies and grains,

they were all on this train!

But I won't yet Choo-Choo my food!

I saw a banana

be friends with a guava,

and mangoes and pears,

and apples and grapes.

But I won't yet Choo-Choo my food!

And that looks suspicious.

Mom says it's nutritious.

That the train is riding through trees.

But, oh no! ... It's broccoli!

No way! I won't Choo-Choo my food!

And who is that fellow?

The red one by the Jell-O.

Mom won't convince me

that it's JUST a tomato.

I won't Choo-Choo my food!

I'd rather have smoothies!

They're great and they're fruity!

So, call all the kiwis, the peaches...a medley!

And let them just go for a swim in the blender

This book is incredible! You can feel the love and the caring in each of the words. Makes my son giggles every time I read it to him :) I really appreciate the honesty and how Thoughtful Alejandra was with her book. Can't wait for the next one!

I love this book! I'm glad I'm not the only one who had trouble with their kid transitioning into solid foods. Alejandra needs to write another one! She's a real talent.
