PROCRASTINATION
In today’s world, people have to strive to be the first in line and the one who gets the most done. Procrastination in which many put things off seem to get in the way. Edward Young called it the ‘thief of time’. However, procrastination can actually help us get more done for lots of reasons.

First, unnecessary tasks disappear when you procrastinate. You would have wasted time doing these unnecessary things. By putting them off, they will disappear eventually and you will save yourself from doing unimportant work. You can then spend more time on your most significant tasks.

Second, it reduces stress. Rather than being stressed up doing task for on-going months, you can actually use the time to do something which is more beneficial. Work is unfinished and you need to spare some time for yourself too. Do not panic the moment a task is assigned to you. Start off late on task as not to land yourself in a stressful situation at all times and you can actually produce better work than you can expect.

Lastly, procrastination allows the most current issues to be accommodated. For most of the time, work done earlier is often wasted due to the nature of changing which is too frequent. By postponing certain work, you do not have to abandon the work done earlier simply because it could not fix in the current requirements.

Procrastination teaches you how to get things fast and well. You do not do unnecessary things, feel less stressful and you can adjust better. Therefore, the most celebrated saying ‘Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today’ might not be so true after all. Do not hesitate to procrastinate if you think it is good for you.
