It was the day of the dance performance, and Penny was so nervous!

She had been practicing her dance all year, and she really didn't want to mess up.

Penny's mom could tell she was really nervous.

Penny's mom said, "Everything will be ok Penny, if you remember the ABC's of dancing!"

"What is that?!" Penny asked.

"Let me tell you!"Said her mom.

A is for amusing the audience, and smiling a lot!

B is for bowing at the end, for all of your fans.

And C is for clapping for your friends!

D is for dancing your best.

E is for effort and energy in your dancing.

And F is for form, everything you have learned this year!

G is for gliding across the stage.

H is for holding your head high.

And I is for individuality!

and being yourself!

J is for jumping high, as high as you can.

K is for kicking all the way to your nose.

And L is for leaping, all over the stage!
