Once upon a time, there was an old lady who made a batch of gingerbread cookies for her husband.

But one of the gingerbread cookies was shaped like a man.

This gingerbread man got up and ran out the door yelling, "Run run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I am the gingerbread man!"

The Old lady was shocked and said "come back here right now!"

so she chased after the gingerbread man, but he outran her. He reached a river, but could not cross it because he did not know how to swim.

The gingerbread man spotted a fox near the river, and asked "Can you help me cross this river?" to which the Fox responded, "Sure, but what will I get in return?"

The Gingerbread man said "I will tell you the location to a batch of ginger bread cookies just like me." The fox agreed saying "sounds like a plan, hop on my back!"

The Fox carried the gingerbread man across the river, but right when they touched land, the gingerbread man ran off yelling "Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me i'm the ginger bread man!" The fox furiously responded "Tell me the location, or I will eat you!", but the gingerbread man kept running.

The gingerbread man next came across a deer.

The deer looked at him and said "You look like a yummy snack, I want to eat you."

The gingerbread man responded, "You poor skinny deer, you can run, run as fast you can, but you can't catch me, i'm the gingerbread man!" The deer chases after him angrily.

Then came along a moose who saw the scene of the fox and deer chasing the gingerbread man. The moose joined the chase saying "My daughter is hungry, I am going to feed her to you." The gingerbread man responded "You ugly moose, you can never catch me. Like I said before, run, run as fast as you can. You can't catch me, i'm the gingerbread man!"

Then all of a sudden, the old lady hopped out of her truck and stopped the gingerbread man in his tracks. The gingerbread man was surrounded.

The old lady grabbed him and said "You sneaky little man, you will come with me."

But as she took the gingerbread man back to the truck with her, she noticed the sad expressions on the rest of the animals' faces.
