Katniss Everdeen is a child of war because she fights in the Hunger games and you have a chance of dying in the Hunger Games. Another reason why Katniss is a child of war is because her father die in a coal mine explosion when she was a 11 years old and she had to take care of her mother ,qnd sister because her mother is sick.

I can connect to the story because i fought for my sister before. The characteristic i share with the main character in this story is her brave and strong.

Stay true to who you are until the very end.Peeta explains to Katniss the night before the Hunger Games, “If I die I still want to be me.” Just because the government is seeking control of everything and everyone, he is not standing for it.Despite being forced into the arena, he wants his character to remain intact.
