What is the Nervous System?
the network of nerve cells and fibers that transmits nerve impulses between parts of the body.
Why do we need the nervous system?
We need the nervous system because when we move the nervous system is already working and they control your thoughts or whatever you are thinking. Also the nervous system is part of your five senses.
Energy waves/and how do we need it?
Energy waves can be made from the nerves through out your whole system, they create every move in the body such as now you are taking notes your nerves are making energy waves which they are send to the brain even when you just blink the nerves in the eye sends a energy wave to the brain to make the movement clear. Also there is another word for energy wave is a emit wave.
Hey kids you see this cool candy model, well guess what, you can make your own candy model, so you can show your class at the end of the day, then you can eat it, its a "sweet" model, here is the website for making it.Have FUN!!!
My students and I created these edible models to better visualize and ...https://www.pinterest.com/pin/157696424429849961/
Sorry you have to copy and paste or write down the words
If you see these lights those are energy waves/emit waves being send to the brain and over to the right you will see a purple picture of the nerve, yeah that big weird purple thing is actually a nerve and inside the nerve Inside the nerves are the axon processes of sensory and motor neurons (nerve cells). The axons are grouped together into bundles called fascicles (fasciculi), which extend the length of the nerve.and those motors make the waves sent to the brain, and imagine there are about 100 billion nerves in your body and each ti,me you grow up you get more nerves.
Alright now we are gonna move to the cerebrum!
The cerebrum is the mostly the protecter of the brain receives the emit waves which make the cerebrum is actually the one that makes your body moves it covers about 85% of your brain.
cerebrum The largest part of the vertebrate brain. It consists of two cerebral hemispheres, which develop from the embryonic fore brain. The hemispheres have an outer convoluted layer of grey matter – the cerebral cortex – which contains an estimated ten billion nerve cells.Underneath this is white matter. The two halves of the cerebrum are linked by the corpus callosum. The function of the cerebrum is to integrate complex sensory and neural functions. The cerebrum is thought to play a critical role in the process of learning, which involves both short-term and long-term memory.
