It was a cool fall morning and Aleesha was playing in the backyard. Orange, yellow and red leaves were falling from the sky onto her head and it was beautiful. The wind began to blow and she began to shiver.

Aleesha's mom, Ms. Rashi, looked out the window and noticed that she was shivering. She opened up the window and called her name. "Aleesha, I see you are cold. Let's go for a walk to warm your fur up. Maybe we can go somewhere fun." Ms. Rashi came outside and put Aleesha's collar around her white fur and they began to go for a walk. Aleesha rubbed up against her Ms. Rashi's leg. That was her way of saying thank you and she was so excited.

As they went for a walk, they came upon Aleesha's best friend Amy. She was fetching a ball. Amy is a fire dog. She is white with black spots. Amy has a pink stripped ball with stars on it that she is trying to hide. Aleesha asked "Do we have a play date?" Amy did not want her to know about the party so she said "Not today because I am going to a party."

Aleesha put her head down and became sad because Amy would not play with her. They did everything together. Their favorite game was to fetch the balls to see who could run back to the fire station first, but today she felt left out. she wanted to go back home but Ms. Rashi said "I know you are sad but let's go to the park. It might make you feel better." So they continued to walk.
