My Story Supports Girl Power!

Eloise had just moved into Tolley Town right before Summer Break was about to end. Eloise was bursting with excitement because she was told that she was going to start learning at Tolley Public School, after the day she had arrived in Town.
The Next Day, even before the alarm went off at 7:00 am, Eloise jumped out of her twin sized bed, and at the top of her lungs she screamed “TODAY’S THE DAY!”. She ran down the stairs, almost tripping after every step, into the kitchen where she found her mother and her older sister Ada making scrumptious pancakes.
“Good Morning” Ada chimed. Eloise sat down at the old dark brown antique table her family had had for years. She ate every delicious enormous pancake in one whole bite. Within seconds, Eloise was finished, and without putting her dishes in the sink she ran up the stairs like a cheetah, into her bedroom to change.
Eloise quickly put on a Red dress. She bolted into the bathroom and she brushed her perfectly white straight teeth. She then brushed her long straight light brown hair in just seconds. She glared at her reflection in the mirror, just inches away from her face.
The mirror was a large oval shape which made Eloise’s face look small. She knew that was the way she had wanted to look on her first day of Tolley Public School. Eloise sprinted into her peaceful quiet bedroom. And there she lay, on her bed waiting for the bus to arrive.

Waiting for the bus to arrive, Eloise sat on her bed looking around her room and she spotted the picture of her father who was carrying her like she WAS up up up high through the air, deep into outer space.
Eloise missed her father very much. After the day he had left to fight in war,Eloise never saw him much. Eloise remembered his last words to her just before he had left, “Fly high, like an astronaut, My dear”. Eloise always wanted to become an astronaut, she wanted to blast off high and touch the sky.
Eloise was about to cry, just thinking about her father, then a honking noise was heard from outside her house. Eloise skipped happily down the stairs, and quickly grabbed her space-themed Jan sport backpack.
Just as Eloise was about to walk out the brown front door, a gentle hand grabbed her backpack.Eloise spun around like a ninja ready to fight. Ada’s face was inches away away from Eloise’s face. “You forgot your lunch” Ada grinned. Eloise grabbed her bright red lunch bag from her sister’s thin hands. Ada gave Eloise a playful push towards the bus and she giggled “Go Have Fun!”. “Thanks” Eloise laughed.
Eloise dashed down the steps of her house, straight into the bright yellow school.

Eloise trotted up the small steps of the bus. She looked at the seats in the bus and found most of them taken. Eloise shuffled through the bus to find an empty seat. She saw an empty seat right next to a tall skinny girl that looked a few years older than her. Eloise was about to sit down, but then the girl put her large hands on the seat. In a deep voice she scowled “Seats Taken!”. Eloise jumped back in shock and made a disgusting face at the girl. “Fine then” Eloise hissed.Eloise continued to find a seat in the bus, then a high pitched voice exclaimed “Sit over here!”.
Eloise turned around to find a short pale girl with brown wavy hair. Eloise sat down next to the girl and gave her a big smile. “Thanks. I’m Eloise by the way. I’m new to this town”Eloise smirked. “Ooooh! So you’re the new girl everyone’s been talking about” the girl beamed. “Really?” Eloise asked. “Oh uh,sorry! I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Sia by the way!” She announced. “Sia, as in like the singer Sia?” Eloise questioned.“Well yeah, I guess. My real name is Anastasia. But I go by Sia for short.” she explained. The two girls talked for what seemed like hours, until the bus drove into the parking lot of a tiny old school.

“Oh, here’s our stop!” Sia giggled. Sia grabbed Eloise’s hand and dragged her off of the bus. “Soooo, I’m so excited to show you our classroom! Ms.Marie is Sooo Nice! She’s our homeroom teacher!” Sia cheered.
Sia and Eloise pushed through the huge crowd of students, waiting to go inside the school. “Sorry! Excuse me!” The two girls muttered as they pushed through the crowd. Once they were inside, Sia took Eloise into a beautiful colourful classroom. “Wow for a pretty old school, the classrooms are pretty!” Eloise thought to herself.
They found a lot of students talking and chattering all around the classroom. “Come sit beside me!” Sia insisted to Eloise. As Sia was skipping to her desk, a group of three boys gave Eloise and Sia a deep stare.

A boy with short dirty blonde hair gave Sia a hard push and she stumbled and fell to the ground. “Watch out shorty!” He said and they all burst into laughter. They walked away, giving them mean laughs. “O my! Sia are you okay?” Eloise trembled as she helped Sia to her feet. “OWWW! I can’t believe they’re in my class again for the fifth year!” Sia whined. Eloise and Sia walked to their desks and sat down. Eloise saw the tears coming out of Sia’s eyes.
“Everyone, please sit down!” a calm voice ordered. Eloise turned her whole body towards the door and saw a slim dazzling young women walk into the classroom wearing a beautiful black dress with a purple vest with black high heels. “Ms.Marie!” Sia cheered while wiping away her tears. Ms.Marie had long beautiful dark black hair. “Well hello Class. Welcome to grade five! We have a new student joining us this year.” Ms.Marie announced to the class as she walked up to the front of the room.

Once Ms.Marie was in the front of the room, She commanded “Would Eloise Williams please come to the front of the room to introduce yourself?”. Eloise’s big brown eyes widened and she slowly rose up from her desk and quietly approached Ms.Marie as many different eyes stared at her. Eloise gave a shy smile to Ms.Marie, and Ms.Marie gave Eloise a giant smile back. “My, uh, name is Eloise. I am new to Tolley Town and I am really excited to start learning at Tolley Public School. Hmmmm, I want to be an astronaut when I’m older.” Eloise muttered.
“Thank you Eloise” Ms.Marie Smiled. “Now It’s time for everyone else to introduce themselves. Everyone please stand up” Ms.Marie ordered. There were shuffling footsteps and chairs sliding. Eloise listened and she tried to remember everyone’s name. They boy who made Sia tripped turn was next. “I’m Benjamin” he told Eloise. He gave Eloise a mean look and he quickly sat down. Eloise looked beside Benjamin and saw the two other boys he was hanging out with earlier. “I’m Micah” one of the boys growled. He was skinny and he had light brown long hair. Micah wore a dark blue short sleeve sleeve.

Beside him was a fair-skinned boy. “I’m Chase” he chortled. “Why was he laughing?” Eloise wondered.
“Thank you class. Eloise you may sit down now.” Ms.Marie insisted. Eloise was walking quickly back to her seat, but then a strong hand caught a hold of her wrist. “An astronaut?” Benjamin snickered. Eloise turned around and found Benjamin’s grip getting tighter.
Eloise felt her forehead getting sweaty. “YOU can’t be an astronaut, cause you’re just a girl!” Micah teased. “Yeah! You’re just a girl, why not become an house wife or something!” Chase ranted. The boys cackled.

Want To Talk after Class?
Sure
“Stop! Just stop!” Eloise whimpered. She pushed Benjamin’s hand off her wrist and ran to her desk. “BOYS!” Ms.Marie snapped. “Office. NOW!” She screamed. The three boys shuddered and got to their feet.
They scrambled out of the classroom within Milliseconds. “Eloise. Would you like to talk with me after class?” Ms.Marie consoled Eloise. “Sure” Eloise replied with sadness in her voice. Eloise felt the tears coming out of her eyes like raindrops falling from the sky.
“Maybe they’re right, I can’t be an astronaut” Eloise thought to herself. Through the long half an hour class, Eloise doubted herself.

Hope you Feel Better!

Eloise felt like the class was a million years long. She had her head down on her desk for the entire period.
The bell was loud and Eloise was relieved to hear it finally ring. All the students quickly grabbed their belongings and they were quickly out the door for recess. On Sia’s way out the door, she gave Eloise a small gentle hug and she consoled her. “I’m Sorry. Hope you feel better” Sia advised.
Then, she was out the door. It was only Ms.Marie and Eloise in the classroom. They said nothing for a couple of seconds, then Ms.Marie finally spoke. “Eloise come on, talk to me. Tell me what happened.” Ms.Marie Sighed.
Eloise slowly rose her head from her desk and she walked to Ms.Marie’s desk. “As I was walking, Benjamin grabbed my wrist and he Uh,Um” Eloise trembled. “Go on” Ms.Marie Whispered. “He, Micah and Chase said that I can’t be an astronaut because i'm just a girl and they said I should be a Housewife!” Eloise cried.
Eloise sobbed and sobbed as Ms.Marie hugged her, “Eloise Stop Crying! Come on. Your strong, your a girl, Don’t listen to the boys. You can be an astronaut, you can be whatever you want!” Ms.Marie convinced Eloise. “Really?” Eloise sniffled as she wiped away her tears. “Really. Now go on out and have some fun. Enjoy your recess, play on the swings, build a sand castle. Make some new friends!” Ms.Marie smiled.
“Thanks Ms.Marie” Eloise replied. She skipped to her desk, grabbed her bag and walked out the classroom feeling content. She placed her bag on the hooks outside the classroom and walked out onto the school yard.

Eloise roamed around the school yard looking for Sia. She found Sia playing with another girl. Sia noticed Eloise and she smiled. “Eloise meet Maggie, Maggie meet Eloise!” Sia announced.
Maggie had really dark brown hair that was tied into a ponytail. She had hazelnut eyes and she looked a lot like Ms.Marie. Maggie looked Chinese and white. Eloise gave her a strange look and said “Nice to meet you”. “I know what your thinking. I’m Ms.Marie’s daughter” Maggie mentioned. “Really? Cool, I suppose you're in her class aren’t you? “Eloise asked with curiosity.

Hi. I'm Maggie.
“Yea, I’m in her Class every year” Maggie giggled. “O ok. You look a little chinese. Are You-” Eloise began but was unable to speak because Maggie Interrupted her. “My dad’s Japanese” Maggie explained.
Everything was clear to Eloise now. Maggie was half asian and half white. “Well if it isn’t Shorty, Maggot and What should we call the new girl?” a familiar voice paused. “I know, what about Ugly Eloise?” another voice suggested.
The three girls turned around to find Benjamin, Micah and Chase. “Ugly Eloise. Ah Perfect!” Benjamin babbled. “Stop Calling me Maggot, and Don’t call Sia, Shorty ever again!” Maggie threatened.
