One morning a strong wind blew in a forest lush green and warm. Mark Gulley, a biologist was taking a stroll through the forest. Plop! was a sound Mark heard coming from the creek a couple feet a way from him. Mark took off his hiking boots, and dipped his feet in the cool water. Plop! That sound again! Mark looked around worriedly, and to his surprise, there was a harp. A beautiful golden harp, with copper wire strings.

Then suddenly, a clear figure, as transparent as glass, appeared. Then as soon as she touched the golden harp, the had fine human skin. She was gorgeous. She had long dirty blonde brown hair, and a long blue fish tail. Then the girl with the fish tail started playing the harp. It was soft and sweet. After she stopped plucking the copper strings, she noticed Mark and disappeared.
Mark hid behind a thick tree, then the girl reappeared. Then a sudden thought flashed through his mind...The girl was a Mermaid!!!!! The mermaid played her chorus of beautiful harp notes. A couple minutes later, the mermaid started to sing. Her voice was soft and as if it was silk on a silk ball dress. As she sang, she turned into a beautiful girl. Mark stepped over to the girl. "Hello." Mark said gently. When Mark approached the girl, he had fallen desperately in love with her. 'w-would you like to walk with me?' Mark said nervously
Later Mark and The Girl played the harp together.
After Mark and The Girl's first concert, Mark took The Girl's hand and led her to a bench. "Miss, what is your name?" Mark asked. The Girl's eyes teared up. "I must never tell." The Girl turned pale. " Why must you not tell?" Mark asked without thinking of what he might trigger. " I will-" The Girl paused. "Die" The Girl struggled to keep from sobbing. "D-die?" Mark was torn as if he was a piece of paper.
"Who has done this?" Mark's eyes were tear-filled. "I can't tell anyone that ether." Mark was struck. Then a brilliant idea came to mind. "Do you speak any other language?' Mark asked. "Yes." "Do the people who cursed you know that language?" Mark asked quickly. "No. I do not think." said the girl. "Wait, no!" "I have a plan." Mark said mysteriously . "Say what their names are in the other language, and I will have a translator say in English what their names are." said Mark. "What a brilliant idea!"
