It was a beautiful, sunny day. Mrs Young got
our of bed and stretched her arms. She went
to the laundry to pick up her basket of wet
washing. She was thinking about the hard
maths test on fractions she was going to give
the children that day. She walked to the frosty
washing line and picked up the pegs.

A slimy alligator slunk around the
corner, he had blood red eyes and the
sharpest teeth that were pearly white
and as sharp as a knife. His skin was
green and it looked very bumpy. He
had a sly alligator grin when he looked
at her.

The slippery alligator suddenly
swallowed Mrs Young whole and Mrs
Young was gone. You couldn't see her
anywhere! He was so, so hungry, in
fact he was still hungry! He couldn't
wait till he got to school with lots of
delicious children. He let out a great
big yucky burp!

He dressed in Mrs Young's blonde wig
off the clothesline. He dressed in her
big cool dress, it had pretty flowers on
it. Then he got a fluffy hat with flowers
on it from off the line. He got some
dotty socks, then he tried to put Mrs
Young's pretty shoes on but they were
too small. He giggled to himself.

He hopped on her old rusty bike and
rode off down Mrs Young's pot-holed
driveway to school. Before he got to
school he waved to Mr Erueti who was
at the end of the driveway, he nearly
lost control then! When he got to
school he was dripping with sweat.

The alligator came into Room 3. It had really,
really sharp teeth.

The alligator sat down, he said to the children
"10 + 10 = 100". The kids thought "Mrs Young
doesn't know her maths" and then someone
whispered, "I don't think that's Mrs Young
because she is good at maths". Someone else
said, "Mrs Young shouldn't have a very long
tail!" Then someone whispered, "she looks like
a slimy, yucky alligator!"

The alligator was hungry, he hadn't eaten
anything since breakfast. He rubbed his
chubby belly, he was starving! He was thinking
which child would be the juiciest.
