Sophie, Kelly, and Vivian were out riding on a beautiful day. Sophie was on Ace, and he was being dangerously wild. He bucked and he bolted, and even Sophie couldn't control him. She was getting angry, and finally, after the most powerful rear you've ever seen, she relented and decided to go home.

Back home, Sophie was talking with Kelly.

Sophie thought. hmmm. "FUZZ!" she said. Kelly was puzzled. Fuzz is tiny! how is he going to keep big Ace in line? she thought. Then Sophie explained that Fuzz used to calm Venus down when Venus was in training, and they decided it might work.

Ace is getting dangerous. We need a way to calm him down.

I know. Let me think.

So for the next few days, Ace was turned out with Fuzz. It definitely had a positive effect. Ace was very calm, and Sophie got a lot of training in.

One morning, before the sun had risen, Sophie saw only one shape in the pasture. Thinking quickly, she knew that Ace must have escaped. But when she got there, she saw a frantic Ace pacing the fence.

Fuzz was gone.

Neigh!

Sophie gathered the troops. Luckily, it was Saturday and everyone wanted to help look. Amanda wanted to ride her new horse, but Sophie reasoned that Amanda had only ridden her twice. She settled for BM.

Suddenly, Mystro took off, galloping like mad. But no one noticed. They were too busy searching. Kelly was frightened. But she was a confident rider, wasn't she?
