This is a biome map consisting of all the biomes such as the ones listed in the top right of the picture!
Biome- a large naturally occurring community of plants and animals occupying a major habitat.
If you are not sure what a biome is, here is an explanation!
TUNDRA
Tundras are among Earth's coldest, harshest biomes. The climate is cold and windy and rainfall is sufficient or adequate. Temperatures can get as low as -40 degrees C and as high as 18 degrees C. The precipitation can be around 15cm to 25cm per year.
The Tundra Biome - Plant Adaptations
In the Tundra biome you will find very little or sufficient amounts of plants due to its cold harsh conditions, But when you do come across any here are the most common are, moss, willows, flowers, and berries.
Arctic Moss adaptations to the Tundra:
Since the "Growing season," is short in the Tundra Biome the moss stores nutrients so new leaves can be made quickly next spring. Since the winds can get up to 100 mph in the Tundra Arctic moss can deal with that due to it have tons of sturdy branches because it is cold.

Arctic Moss is one of the most commonly found plants in the tundra biome!
The Tundra Biome - Animal Adaptations
Migration and hibernation are examples of behavioral adaptations used by animals in the Arctic tundra. Hibernation is when animals save energy until and go to sleep for the winter until the new season comes.
How the Arctic Hare survives in the tundra:
The Arctic hare survives with shortened ears and limbs, a small nose, fat that makes up 20% of its body, and a thick coat of fur.
The fat and thick coat of fur on the Arctic Hare's body helps it survive by giving the Hare just enough amount of warmth that is needed for its body. Even though the Arctic Hares do not hibernate sometimes Hares travel in huddles of dozens or more which gives them extra warmth. To get away from predators the Arctic hare use their speed which can get as fast as 60(kph) kilometers per hour.

The Arctic Hare is one common animal in the Tundra Biome.
FUN FACT
In the tundra there is a plant called bearberry, and some people have seen bears eating them!
DESSERT
The desert biome is an ecosystem that forms due to the low level of rainfall it receives each year. Deserts cover about 20% of the Earth. There are four major types of desert in this biome - hot and dry, semiarid, coastal, and cold. They are all able to inhabit plant and animal life that are able to survive there. The temperatures in the desert can be -4 degrees c to 38 degrees c. The annual rainfall is usually about 25 cm per year.
The Desert Biome - Plant Adaptations
Moist plants store water in fleshy leaves, stems or roots. All cacti are Moist, as are such non-cactus desert dwellers as agave, aloe, elephant trees, and many spurges(plant). Several other adaptations are essential for the water storing habit to be effective.
How the Barrel cactus adapts to the desert biome:
Well adapted to life in a harsh, dry environment, a barrel cactus blooms in the desert. The barrel cactus survives in its enviroment simply by storing water from any rain for energy to survive until more rain comes. The cactus has needles for protection, the needles hurt any animal that tries to eat the cactus for water.

The Barrel cactus is one of the most common found plants in the desert biome.
The Desert Biome - Animal Adaptations
Fortunately, most desert animals have evolved both behavioral and physiological mechanisms to solve the heat and water problems the desert environment creates. Among the thousands of desert animal species, there are almost as many remarkable behavioral and structural adaptations developed for avoiding excess heat.
How the camel adapts to the desert biomes:
Camels are herbivores; they eat desert vegetation, such as grasses, herbs, and leaves. Camels have many adaptations that allow them to live successfully in desert conditions. Deserts are hot and dry. Winds blow sand all around, so a camel has long eyelashes.

Camels are one of the most common animals in the desert biome.
FUN FACT
The highest temperature ever recorded was 136 degrees farenheight!
GRASSLANDS
Grassland biomes are large, rolling terrains of grasses, flowers and herbs. Latitude, soil and local climates for the most part determine what kinds of plants grow in a particular grassland. A grassland is a region where the average annual precipitation is great enough to support grasses, and in some areas a few trees.Usually located in The prairies of the Great Plains of North America, the pampas of South America, the veldt of South Africa, the steppes of Central Eurasia, and surrounding the deserts in Australia. The temperatures get -20 degrees C to 30 degrees C. The annual rainfall is usually 50 to 90 cm.
The Grasslands Biome - Plant Adaptations
Grasslands are full of herds of hungry herbivores. These herbivores are hard on plants, but they can be a powerful force in making an area a grassland and keeping trees from taking it over. You see, grasses and other grassland plants have special adaptations to allow them to survive heavy grazing.
How does GRASS adapt to the GRASSLANDS:
Grasses have adapted to the unreliable levels of precipitation by growing narrow leaves which restrict water loss. The grasslands are used to fires and other hurtful things to animals but since grass cannot physically move they are adapted to survive the fires.

Grass is obviously the most common plant in the GRASSlands.
The Grasslands Biome - Animal Adaptations
A few of these adaptations are: Some animals, such as bison, have broad, flat-topped teeth and digestive systems especially adapted to feed on grasses. Many prairie animals have front legs and paws that allow them to burrow into the ground, where they are protected from predators.
How does the anteater adapts to its environment:
The anteater uses its 2ft long nose to sniff for ants and when it finds an ant-pile it finds a hole and then sticks its 2ft long tongue which sticks to ants and eats them

An Anteater is one of the most common animals in the grasslands.
FUN FACT
The grasslands only has 2 seasons the dry season and the rainy season
