It was September 27th, 2018. Athena was about to turn five years old!

Athena was very excited; but she was also nervous.

Today was her birthday, true; but it was also the day of her five year-old test.

Athena went downstairs to breakfast. On the table there was a special message waiting for her.

Five-year old test

To truly become a five-year-old, one must demonstrate mastery in the following challenges:

1. Eating.
2. Getting undressed.
3. Brushing your teeth.
4. Getting dressed.

Athena took the strange scroll in her hands. This was the test that her mom and dad had been telling her about.

She looked at the strange words written on it. It sure looked official! But what did it say?

She asked her parents if they would read it to her.

Her parents read the scroll to her, making sure she understood each of the challenges that lay before her.

Athena was confident. She knew that she would be able to beat every challenge no problem!

Athena was eager to show her parents how awesome she was!

First up was the eating challenge. This was going to be easy!

Athena grabbed her spoon and started to chow down. Before her parents could even blink she was done eating.

Athena had passed her eating test!

The next test was getting undressed. This one was going to be a little tricky. Athena always needed a little help with her long sleeves.

But, Athena had been practicing in preparation for her test. Athena knew she could do this.

Athena strained and struggled; and in the end she managed to get that pesky long-sleeve shirt off. The rest was easy!
